A Findhorn NG epitomises British sports cars of years gone by with 1940s/50s styling, rag top fun but with a bit more modern running gear – normally from an MGB and sometimes with a Rover V8 engine.

Either a TF with flared wings, a windscreen, and roof or a TC with just fly screens and may be a V8, is a lovely car – a joy to behold. In fact that is the very reason why I – Nigel Brooks, owner of the business – wanted to build one and ended up buying the business. My predecessors have developed the original basic car into a well appointed traditional car, perhaps epitomised most by the walnut dash board of the TF.

These are cars for those of us wishing for a bit of time to have a bit of fun behind the wheel. Originally they were built by their owners, but we have less and less time for that nowadays, not that building them is particularly difficult.

So we at Findhorn Cars are happy to build a car to your order. If you think that you will be making long trips, a TF, with a windscreen and weather gear is the car for you. On the other hand if you are after a car for quick trips at the weekend and would not expect to be getting the Findhorn NG wet, why not invest in a pair of googles – which you probably have from the ski slopes – and dispense with the windscreen: the TC is that car. The aero-screens are remarkably effective; even your passenger will agree with that! Complete absence of any superstructure gives a wonderful feeling of freedom.
